Denver PrideFest 2017
Park Hill, Denver
June 17-18, 2017
We are a small organization, and currently one of our goals for more public exposure is to get a booth at Denver PrideFest.
Denver PrideFest is a popular event honoring LGBT culture that has been been held since 1976 and averages an audience of 200,000 people. It’s an important event for RMMRA to take part in, since many people in attendance are fairly knowledgeable in gender politics and care about gender equality.
Men of all races, religions, and sexual orientations indiscriminately face a multitude of serious issues. One of our main goals at PrideFest is to raise awareness about these topics and connect with people who care about men.
What This Accomplishes:
Provides a space for tolerant, public discussion of the Men's Rights Movement (MRM) and the issues it highlights.
Brings the MRM to a space that has been historically concerned with sexism, marginalization, and other issues that overlap with the MRM.
Provides an opportunity to point out how gay men are affected by men's issues, including male genital mutilation, incarceration and justice inequality, prison rape culture, declining education opportunity, paternity fraud, portrayals of men in media as sexual predators, as well as men's increased risk for being victims to violent crime.
